Green tests say the code does what the tests check. A Second Opinion asks another agent what the tests don’t: a reviewer reads the change, without touching it, and lists what it finds.

Set it up

On the repository’s page (click it in Project Info, ⌘I) → Settings → Review:

  • Second opinion turns it on.
  • Reviewer: Codex or Claude Code. A reviewer other than the task’s author sees the change with fresh eyes.
  • When: After green checks starts it by itself once Done Means is green. On request waits until you ask.

The choice is kept per repository in its git config.

Read-only

The reviewer can’t change anything: Codex runs in its read-only sandbox, Claude Code in plan mode. Afterwards Cavvy checks that the worktree is exactly as before and says so if it isn’t. A review may take up to 20 minutes; meanwhile the task stands under Automatic Check.

Findings

Open the review window (⇧⌘D); the Second Opinion sits in its Overview. Each finding has a severity, a file and a line; Go To jumps there.

SeverityMeaning
MustHas to change before a merge.
ShouldWorth changing.
NoteFor your information.

Must and Should findings start selected. Send to the Author sends the selected ones to the task’s agent as one brief. When it has fixed them and Done Means is green again, the second opinion runs again. By itself it runs at most twice per task; after that, and with On request, Check Again asks for another.

An open Must finding turns the merge in Finish… into Merge into … Anyway, in red.

No findings doesn’t mean approved. You decide. The second opinion is a reader, not a gate.

Which agents

Claude Code and Codex can review. opencode and Gemini CLI can be the author of a task, but not its reviewer.
